Full Day Tour in Lyon

The morning will be devoted to the historic center, with an ascent to the Fourvière basilica on the mythical “ficelle”, the historic funicular linking the foot and summit of the “hill that prays”. At the top, you’ll be able to enjoy an exceptional panorama of the city, visit the Basilica of Notre Dame de Fourvière, protector of the city, and walk through the remains of the Gallo-Roman theatres. Then you’ll head back to Vieux-Lyon to explore the Renaissance courtyards and traboules and enjoy the Italian atmosphere of the district. You’ll also have the opportunity to taste the famous pink praline, the jewel of Lyon’s confectionery industry. 

You can have lunch on your own in the town center or at a local delicatessen in the company of your guide.

The afternoon is then devoted to one of the city’s most emblematic crafts: silk! Visit the private museum of one of Lyon’s leading silk manufacturers to discover its close links with haute couture, the arts and even new technologies… Finally, round off the day with a Lyonnaise-style snack!
